Captain Caveman

In a previous post you said that you were working on a piece where Vivi is falling down (Love the Vivi pics), so heres my question: once you get an idea of what you are going to do (like say Vivi trying on Superhero outfits)ow long does it take to finish a piece

Captain Caveman

Also how long would it take to render out/finish a new character? I am just curious.

I need about 10-15 days. Suttyo girls' work time is faster, but I can working on the new girls only for 6-7 days in a month. I must to make nem pictures. Tha hard thing is to making a new environment for every new characters. I like the new environments, the variety is greater on my pictures.

I can make new outfits in 2-4 days. But I need new environmets for the new outfits. For example a Supergirl/Spidergirl scene need some skyscrapers, for a middle ages costume needs a middle ages interior/exterior etc.

You have inspired me to try out Blender. I was curious how much work goes into making a character from scratch from someone well versed in the software. I imagine you use a different program and of course your natural talent. I guess I am just looking for input. I have tons of questions. I got on DA hoping for some dialogue about styles and techniques and such but so far I've not had much luck.

Thank you for your message. I remember your question on DA, I think I answered it. To making a new character from zero is 1-2 months. But you must to be expert in your software. Nowadays we are lucky, we can buy rigged characters for Turbosquid, Daz3D etc. But if you would like to make your own character, first time you can draw them in 2D. You can modelling in 3D after you are ready with your plans. I don't know Blender I recommend see blender tutorials on youtube and visit Blender forums. There is a huge Blender community. https://www.blender.org/community/ You are very lucky with these forums and videos, unfortunatelly there weren't that many help 15-20 ago. I had only Maya Help a Maya Book and 1-2 forums. Looking for 3D wireframe character pictures on the net to get to know the characters structure.
