 This release didn't go as bad as I feared, there was some game breaking bugs but some people even made it to Grimshear, which is great! Though I should've added an indication of when quests end, I completely forgot about that.

 Anyway it's been 1 week since the release and now I want to share what we have been working since:

Cutscenes and Interactions

  •  Added one cutscene to secret tunnel to notify player about the lower part of the secret tunnel. 
  •  Added introductory cutscene to forest after exiting secret tunnel. 
  •  Added new cutscene when player enters Grimshear for the first time. 
  •  Added new lines to the cutscene where player meets Evenon in church 
  •  Added new interaction lines to Dianna 
  •  Changed Gomrak interaction lines and removed crafting temporarily 

I saw many players was frustrated in Secret Tunnel, which games oldest map now. We plan to remake it's tileset as well as the map, but for now I just added a little cutscene which tells player about the downstairs in that map. I also extended cutscene after exiting tunnel, which should make things clearer for players about encounters and camera zoom controls. I also added new lines to Dianna and Evenon, but their interactions are still not complete.

Bugfixes

  •  Fixed equipment changing crash 
  •  2 cutscene won't be activated at the same time(like shaman boss fight and soldier encounter at secret tunnel exit) 
  •  Heal skill fixed. 
  •  Fixed a bug causing every quest description to be seen as WIP(sorry, a typo caused this) 

Gameplay

  •  Players are now able to use consumables and potions from their inventory in preAttack phase. You can open inventory and character panel in preAttack phase after choosing selection a party member. 
  •  Added status effects, added bleed to slash type weapons, added burn to slime 
  •  Adjusted Leana's health and changed strength value of characters 
  •  Added range attack type(for now only slime) 

Since the beginning 100 health point felt bad, I had to give high strength points to every enemy. Instead I lowered Leana's hp to 25, lowered every enemies strength, lowered poison skills damage to 1. I also added passive status effect debuff to longsword, which has %40 chance to apply bleeding status for 2 turns. Slimes also now apply 1 damage burning for 1 turn. Currently there is only Antidote to cure poison but other consumables will be added for other types of status effects in future.

Content

  •  Added 2 diary pages to secret tunnel.
  •  Added new item: Antidote 
  •  Added combat chatter for humans 


Audio

  • Added sound effects to consumables, chainmail and rings. 
  • New skill SFX: Heal
  • New Skill SFX: Firewhip(Goblin boss)  
  • New SFX: New quest and quest completed.

Visual

  •  Added new type of particle effect for heal(particle sprites are placeholder and will be updated later). We'll add skill animations in future.
  •  Adjusted status effect positions 
  •  Added new sprite for bleed status effect(status effect sprite will be updated later) 
  •  Updated potions sprites, antidote sprite will be updated in future 

Other

  • Minimap controls are now working as it should.

 We are also planning to introduce a new character: Alicia. 

You won't see her in tavern for now, but we'll add her later. For now she'll come with a new cutscene.
