Star Wars must be the next movie series

In the book the thing with Gale is explained a little better. He's the one who has the idea to create the false bombs that go off twice and kill specifically the medical responders who come to attend to the injured. Prim is of course a nurse, and as a medical responder she ran in to give medical assistance to Capitol citizens , not even her own side. Then the bombs went off and killed her. In a way, Gale's lust for blood is what killed Prim, Even though he did not directly drop the bomb on her.

If Katniss said no to the hunger games she most likely would have been killed. That's why her and Haymitch say yes to avoid suspicion.

I agree, it felt abrupt moving from the bombing to Katniss waking up, but she also got blown up at that moment. The books are from Katniss's perspective, so we don't actually see what happened after the bombings until she wakes up days later. That is why the movie was done in that way.

I know a lot of people called out that Gale created the bomb that killed Prim, but it’s more than just that. This is skipped in the movies, but Gale doesn’t go to see her when she’s in the hospital, or even once she’s out. He doesn’t go to see her until Snow’s execution. So when she asks him if it was him… he can’t meet her eyes, he’s avoided her because he knows it’s his fault. He might not have dropped the bomb himself, but it was his creation… and I think they both knew that, even though Prim was killed, Gale doesn’t think what Coin did was wrong. It ended the war. He only feels remorse guilt because Prim was killed, and he only cared about keeping Prim safe because he wanted Katniss’s favor. He didn’t care about the innocent children, people or medics who were killed. Thats something Katniss can’t let go of. Even his last comment to her, a casual comment about how his only job was to keep her family safe and he failed at that. There’s very little real remorse/accountability with Gale. Also left out from the books, Katniss’s conversation with Snow in the garden was a little more elaborated. He calls out the fact that Prim was too young to be on the battlefield. She was 13. The age of enlistment in district 13 was 14 years old. So Prim had to have received special permission to be there, which could only be approved by someone of high rank… and to put Prim, a 13 year old girl on the front lines? Snow also informed Katniss that Plutarch had aired the bombing of capital children live on tv, so EVERYONE saw it. Katniss tried to go to Haymitch for help, and he makes a joke about her coming to him for advice on boy trouble. Her mental state is garbage, so she runs off, refuses to speak to him. That’s why, even though he doesn’t know what Katniss is planning when she agrees to another hunger games (something he knows she wouldn’t do), he follows her lead. He knew she was looking for help, that something was wrong, and she was playing an angle. The movie doesn’t really do a good job of communicating that.

Also, in the book, Katniss is left in her old training center room. With no human contact. For months while she’s on trial for the murder of Coin. They completely cut that out and just pardon her. She’s also not okay back home in 12, and Peeta’s return happens months later.

Katniss had to kill coin because at that point no one else has seen how diabolical she really is. The districts have already turned on snow, and whether she hit him or not he was on deaths door. Coin however would require another war to get out of power. So Katniss took the responsibility of getting rid of her and being the villain, she wasn’t planning on living after though. Which is why she had the nightlock pill which Peeta takes from her. Last thing: Suzanne Collin’s (author) has stated her biggest regret in these books is killing Finnick. That if she could go back she would have him live. So in my world, Finnick lives, and is happily raising his son with Annie.
