In terms of not having enough money to disappear, remember that they also had to pay $800,000 for the car wash.... in cash. It's not like they could get a bank loan and pay monthly installments for it.

Walt messed up a lot this season in the eyes of Gus. He basically made it clear to everyone that he was planning to kill Gus the first chance he got what with buying the gun and going to Pollos looking for him and even his house looking to shoot him. He straight up asked Mike to help him kill Gus. Refusing to cook when Jesse was gone, failing to deal with Hank, calling the cops on Tyrus. He was fully a liability at this point. If he had kept his head down and done his job maybe he could have regained Gus's trust just like Jesse did.

Are you really that mad about a word? Which in many countries is not a slur by the way. Stop being a snowflake, I bet that people who are actually disabled aren't nearly as agitated by that word as you are lol. And it's not like they are calling disabled people that to their face, they are calling people that who do foolish mistakes or act nonsensically like the disabled people do (because guess what, they used to be called that). You surely have called your friends the r-word when they are acting r*****ed :)
