Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

  • Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

lol Pudgey is starting to hate walter real quick. question though, why is Skylar checking all the boxes "smart, shes not wrong" but Walt doing it being a dickhead to Jesse? obviously he was the culprit so theres that angle, but given the situation, what else is he supposed to do after that talk with Hank?

Lyn Hurst

This episode had so many things going on. Skyler and Walt telling that "fiction" about his gambling was hysterical. She even tears up at Hank and Maries. I know she is an actor but she was really an "actor" in this scene as far as the spinning they did for Hank and Marie. Makes me sad that Junior thinks his dad is a stud for being a gambler. Walt and Hank going over Gale's notes was intense.

Bro needs a Heisenberg shirt one time

I love how the camera zooms in on Jesse when Walt is making him relive his Gale trauma & you can see Walt towering down on him in his eye's reflection before he closes his eyes. Great detail. Bravo Vince

Love this episode. I definitely agree with Spartan that Walt's "terribly, terribly ashamed" moment is partly because he's distracted. Maybe also feeling a bit of guilt after seeing Gale. But I don't think there's any genuine feeling of shame at Walt Jr.'s reaction. From the very beginning, Walt has craved his son's admiration, not just as a person but as a man. Jr. couldn't have said anything more perfect ("stud") to validate Walt as he wants to be seen and as he sees himself. But because of the lie, Walt isn't able to accept Jr.'s affirmation in that moment as he might genuinely want to, so he reverts to Skyler's phoney script.

“Why hasn’t Walt been there for Hank”, I guess as usual Pudgey forgets bc she’s blaming walt for everything that he’s paying for hank’s medical bills after hank has treated Walt like a nerd and loser for years and why does she get mad when Walt tricks hank with the poem like does she think Walt should just openly tell hank that he’s a meth dealer !?!? And also why does she keep saying that jesse is in this state bc of Walter , Jesse killed Gale to save Walter’s life as Walter did the same thing for jesse the night before and when he’s talking to jesse bluntly about the killing, he has no choice really bc Jesse is in a bad place and drugged so he has to get answers somehow , I swear Pudgey is becoming one of those reactors who’s biased against Walter in every situation. No hate , I love both of yall as reactors but this is true.

HDN

Way too biased towards Jesse and it's purely emotional, nothing rational there. I get it, I adore him too but he's literally the only reason they are in this mess. First of all, assuming that Jesse would be safe if they didn't get in this big game is completely false. In fact, he'd be either locked up or dead like any other junkie who doesn't calculate their steps in such a dirty environment. It's not like Walt groomed an innocent college kid into the meth industry. Then they were safe and good until Jesse decided to act all gangsta and face those 2 guys and since then everything crumbled and all he does ever since is whining that the rules aren't fair. They are drug dealers, the rules are never fair. Yes he killed Gale to protect Walt but again, Walt wouldn't need protection if he didn't run to rescue Jesse from the stupid situation he put himself in. Another reminder that if Walt stayed out of Jesse's life, he'd have found a way to get himself killed or imprisoned. Walt has sacrificed his position as Gus's #1 employee and his whole credibility and respect just to keep Jesse safe. He has done way more to Jesse than the other way around. He cannot live on Jesse's mood especially in this line of work. They can't afford to submit to someone's feelings if there is actual danger of getting caught and there's a chance of fixing it. Walt is the only reason Jesse is alive since he always vetoes any solution that involves harming Jesse and let's be honest, Walt is technically the one with "monetary value" and Jesse just isn't. Killing Jesse has always been and still is a solution to everything but Walt has never accepted that anyone even considers something like that. Walt isn't doing anything wrong but the emotional one always seems somehow more innocent.

If you think Walt doesn't feel shame at Walt Jr's reaction, then you fail to understand Walt's character completely.

Anonymous

Think you two missed that when Walt is suggesting a differently phrased apology in the script, he is actually apologizing to Skylar as well.

Anonymous

Pudgey's complete bias against Walt is really starting to impact the quality of these reactions. This show is intentionally meant to show nuance and the inner conflicts that characters feel when they make decisions and that includes WALT as well. When you start watching the show with a complete tunnel vision of 'Jesse is a victim because he is struggling emotionally' and 'Walt is the cause of all bad things in the show even if they are the indirect result of other things happening in between' then I'm afraid your analysis starts to lose credibility.

Free Jesse 2023 🤣.. got your back Pudgey 😁

The fact that he uses "terribly, terribly" is the tell that it's nowhere near genuine. The irony of a Walt stan telling anyone else they fail to understand Walt’s character. 😂

Jackhammer

I would say that Jesse is responsible for Gale's death. He created a situation where Gus had to find a new chemist because of a loss of trust. Walt was right, he's about the only person who seems professional. And this is the drug business. Besides, it's clear that Walt cares about Jesse. Only Heisenberg won't run after him with tissues and wipe his tears)

Rey Jr

I am a bit surprised about the heat Pudgey gets. Other than not also putting blame on Jesse she is pretty much spot on. For example when she said: As long if it is for family everything is justified for Walt. Or when she said Walt used Hanks emotion to talk to each other to get more information about the case. So she is mostly right about Walt. She only needs to hold Jesse also accountable for his actions. But I get why it’s harder for her to do that when she sees him in this state. Atleast he shows remorse and is constantly down because of it

Pogger White

The reason Walt knows so much about Geology is because Chemistry and Geology go hand in hand.

HDN

I don't agree about him ever showing remorse. There's showing remorse, and there's never actually manning up and bearing the consequences of his personal actions. Attacking Gus's men is an example. The death of Jane, him luring Andrea into addiction again, him stealing meth, he always does the thing and chickens out when the consequences are due. I can't look at his response to Gale's murder without taking his other behaviours in other situations into consideration. This is not remorse, it's the need of shaking off any blame for any mistake he's made. He's basically a snowflake (sorry Jesse love you xoxo).

SuddenImpulse

Yep. What is chemistry all about? Chemicals. Elements. What they are, what they do, under what conditions do they do certain things, why, and how they interact together. Whats is the definition of a mineral? "A naturally occurring inorganic element or compound having an orderly internal structure and characteristic chemical composition, crystal form, and physical properties." Its definitely on purpose.
