LOL i get your Spartan with the dream scenario, i have dreamt those weird ddreams out of nowhere where you all of a sudden feel connected. Also not sure if you guys remember from house of the dragon, the faith of the seven aka the high sparrows was the religion that the hightowers followed. When Alicent took over after Viserys died, she hung faith symobols every where and forced everyone to follow the faith of the seven

I like your take on lil finger, and think your 100% right. Up to this point, almost everything that has happened, (the ripple effect) is because of him. Starting with Aryn. Like her or not…..cersie was an unhappy wife that was raised like cattle and developed an sinister type of personality, while being in a romantic relationship with her brother. BUT….She was pulled into all these other things after strictly based on the scheme that lil finger developed. I personally find that to be very layered and deep, amazing writing by George.

I honestly don't get why Cersei's love for her children is supposed to be this notable quality. Most parents love their children. Loving your children is most natural, most ordinary thing in the world.

Unfortunately the Sparrows would not work on Joffrey and definitely not Ramsay. They would have brought armies in to kill every Sparrow and sacrificed prisoners like Margery, Loras etc. Tywin wouldn't have let them gain any power in Kings Landing. Littlefinger and Olenna arrived too late to prevent it when Cersei had already armed them and gave them power

I’ll take that a step further and note that even narcissists often love their children BECAUSE they see their children as an extension of themselves (possibly also why Cersei is romantically interested in her twin), not as completely separate people worthy of love in their own right.

Game of Thrones is always pretty dark but damn this season has been grim af so far lol there's a lot to enjoy about it for sure! So excited for the next few episodes because the building they've done really lends to a great feeling of anticipation.

I don't even think they'd have gotten far enough to even take Margaery and Loras. Especially since Tywin understood the importance of the Tyrell alliance. Cersei would have been in High Garden for sure by then. And Joff would have gotten a nice laugh at the audacity of the sparrows lmao the fifth season would be very diff I reckon .

Don't Drink, you hit the nail on the head. Cersei's kids are her property to her and even though she does love them, she's still heinous ?? And the reason I think S&P are so sick of her is because even the folks who have done terrible things have gotten at least SOME semblance of retribution. Well except Ramsey, that fucker 😖 As someone who really enjoys a villain and really likes Cersei as a character it's like give it a rest people. At this point I think people just want to be contrary for thr sake of being contrary and that's it. Shout out to Lena Heady though because she gives a performance of the ages in this show. She should be very proud of her work.

I'm hoping after it's all said and done, they will do a discussion on both shows as a whole to compare and contrast and see what they picked up on for each show by watching the other. I think that would be really interesting as they have great insights most of the time.

im one of those who watch the uncut reactions, but I also watch the intro before that, and the outro after the episode with them in the uncut. and I think its fair to assume that goes for most of the uncut watchers as well, we are very invested in this journey :p

God, watching Cersei’s smile fade as she realizes what’s going on in that last scene just never gets old. I don’t care for the High Sparrow much either but in that regard i was definitely on their side

I've been watching reaction videos forever. Yet something I didn't know that was a thing until recent weeks. Absolutely wild. She's a genuinely complex and compelling character! But to believe that she's not evil? Bitch who hates her brother for something that's not his fault, fucks her immediate relatives, intentionally replaces the heirs to the throne w incest babies despite knowing that the discovery would break the kingdoms, orders a child's completely innocent pet executed, diverts food intended.for the poor to feed dogs, and enables her vile son's cruelty? We're supposed to like her? Absolute insanity.

Spartan was right. This isnt a spoiler more of a clarification. Little finger gave the sparrow Loras’ lover as “a gift” and he then gave Lansel to the sparrow as another “gift”. He even said, “i give you a boy like i gave the sparrow for Cersei.” (Paraphrasing).
