Also the way Mikami dies is soo dramatic like did he really need all that blood violently splurting out of his body just from stabbing him self? He just wanted attention

Apologies in advance if this is long. I love that you get a hint in the penultimate episode as to who will win. When Near removes his mask he smiles, the same way he does when he’s proven right about something. Turns out it’s because he could see Ryuk which confirmed to him that he had the actual notebook. The voice acting is great throughout in the whole show, but the final two episodes especially. In particular Brad Swaile (Light), he’s just next level awesome. On YouTube you can find interview segments with the voice actors, including clips of them recording. I can recommend checking them out (whether for the channel or on your own time). I also recommend Film Theory’s episode about how many people died in the series. I love that in the end Light loses due to his own arrogance. Both him and Mikami were so confident that they had outsmarted Near that they didn’t stop to think that maybe Near had taken one more steap ahead of them (kind of like a Kansas City shuffle). I also love that Matsuda gets to go out on a higher note than just being a fool/comic relief. IIRC we saw in a previous episode that he’s a good marksman, and he certainly proved it in this episode. I’ll stop talking now, but to finish off, thanks for a great reaction series! I’ve really enjoyed following your discussions, theories, etc.
