(Long post) Small setback - Looking for feedback! 😸 (Patreon)

3) Now wanting to create a new Tier on Patreon that will give you monthly physical products (prints and stickers). This new Tier will NOT give new exclusive posts/images. 😻

Small setback

For this past month I have been planning and working really hard on something new and something that people have asked about in the past.

It was the plan to launch the ability for everyone (Patrons and non patrons) to order prints of my work today on our 1 year anniversary. Everything was ready for launch. I had the website ready. The ability to actually produce the prints. I wanted (And still want. More on that later) to produce everything in house. No external print companies. Everything would have been made by me.

Getting a payment provider however was the setback I did not see coming. It was tough finding one that would actually take me on as a customer to their platform. I got turned down by at least 6 before this last one actually said "yes, let's do it". (This because of something called High-risk customer because my art isn't family friendly).

Everything was setup and ready to go. This morning I woke up to an email I really didn't want to see. The payment provider reconsidered and declined my request to be their customer and the ability to use their services. Which leaves me without one. Which in turn makes it now almost impossible to do this. BUT! I think this can work out in a different way!

New Tier - Looking for feedback!

Since my original plan sadly didn't pan out how I wanted it to go I started thinking of a different way to do this. I have the following in mind. This is all open for discussion and please do so. I will try to be as transparent as I possibly can here!

I have a plan to make a new Tier here on Patreon. This Tier will have a higher price tag but I think it could produce something amazing! I will lay out the plan below.

REALLY IMPORTANT: This Tier will NOT get exclusive posts. In no way will anyone be missing out who doesn't subscribe to this new Tier.

Tier 2: The Naughty Letter
When you subscribe to this tier you will not only get all my usual daily content but also something extra. Every month you subscribe to this Tier (And you're ALWAYS free to up and downgrade from this) you will receive a package from me containing:

• 5 prints of your choosing (We will DM about this) on A4 format (210 x 297 mm, 8.3 x 11.7 inch), Or maybe Letter format if that's more to your liking!

• A couple of stickers of randomized images (I'm thinking 8 stickers of images from this past month)

• A thank you card with a handwritten message on it for you

• If you have a fantastic idea on what I could add to this. Let me know. It has to fit in a thick envelope though

Again everything produced by me. No external printing companies. I will be printing this on high quality glossy photopaper. But if in the future the need arrives to make some fantastic prints on matte paper as well I will consider this!

Costs
Now for the costs. I've searched through my analytics to find out which countries visit my profile (and patrons) the most. Sending this package will cost me on average per package 12,- dollar (Sadly I can't calculate shipping costs in Patreon. So I have to average it. There are some countries which will cost me 20,- dollar)

The high quality paper together with printing costs (Ink) will be around 1,50 per A4 sheet.
8 sheets in total will be needed so that will be 12,- dollar as well. (If you want more specifications here about the price. Let me know. I will provide the calculations)

Then I still have to cut the printed images nicely. Write a personalized thank you card. Put it all in the package and send it on it's way.

All in all I don't really see how I can go any lower than 35,- dollar for this Tier price.
12,- dollar for the shipment
12,- dollar for the materials
5,- dollar for still having access to all my content
6,- dollar for creating and actually sending out the package

This is a steep price and exactly why I wanted to ask all of you if there is any interest in this? So my feedback question: Are you interested in this? I'm really not expecting many to be interested because of the price. But if there is interest in this by a few I will continue to work on this and will keep you all posted on how it's progressing and when the new Tier will go live!
