Fun fact: The "microwaves and monkeys" line they quickly threw in there is a reference to an amazing passage in the book! The quote: "It killed humans, therefore it was a weapon. But radiation killed humans, and a medical X-ray machine wasn’t intended as a weapon. Holden was starting to feel like they were all monkeys playing with a microwave. Push a button, a light comes on inside, so it’s a light. Push a different button and stick your hand inside, it burns you, so it’s a weapon. Learn to open and close the door, it’s a place to hide things. Never grasping what it actually did, and maybe not even having the framework necessary to figure it out. No monkey ever reheated a frozen burrito."

Ahhhh, I love Bobby too! A top tier character for me. I love how much she's changed since her first appearance. Having the other Martian marines with her in these scenes was such a good juxtaposition, and really showcases her growth imo (even though, obviously, we already know that she has even before this episode). All these other marines think in the exact same way she used to in her first episodes/season. The shoot first ask questions later, Mars is everything mentality. (Which you see HEAVILY in the next episode) The Amos/Alex scene is great too, and I love and totally agree with your thoughts on Amos' comment and the consequences that come from a lack of fear.
