Dalton is a treasure in Doom Patrol

I think we're all also coming at it from a very different place than the people who love this more than Shawn of the Dead, since it's more an homage to the late 80/90s buddy cop films that people born after 1990 probably don't have the same nostalgia for

Finally caught up on my podcasts, loved both of your takes on it. I always thought Hot Fuzz was the best of the three, but the more I watch Shaun, the more I appreciate how tight that script is (but so is HF). I re-watched the DVD extras, and was crying at Bill Nighy's, saying how he didn't want to work with Wright (never again!), but he has... expensive appetites. I didn't get to comment on your Shaun episode, so apologies if these have been mentioned, but... You probably have seen Every Frame a Painting's treatise on Wright's, "How to Do Visual Comedy." If not, I highly recommend it, or a rewatch (which I just did)! Also, I hope you guys get around to watching Spaced, which preceded Shaun, and has a lot of familiar faces. Bit of a different role for Nick Frost, as his role in The World's End. His best role might be Fighting With My Family, though. Anyway, looking forward to your takes on World's End! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FOzD4Sfgag

I hate to say this but it's like they peaked at Sean of the dead and while the other two are good I like them consecutively less as we go through the trio. That said I think hot fuzz is a comfort movie for me, it's got a lot of nostalgia for whatever reason and it's easier to put this one on then the other two for rewatches.
