It's true! It's really quite good, and you can find out all about it over at the new Small Beans shop, where we will also be adding stuff like an album and comic books in the near future. You can get there by hitting the SHOP tab above or this link. As for the book, all SB Patrons can read the first three chapters free by hitting up the Demo. Please do! It's a good book!

BOOK DESCRIPTION

Sinno is about to take part in an ancient coming-of-age rite for his people: climbing as high as he can up the Great Tree that comprises the entire universe. No one knows what wonders and mysteries lurk in the misty branches above. All Sinno knows is that he sometimes hates himself, and he doesn't want to let anybody down.

This is a book about things including, but not limited to: alcoholism, robots, crippling depression, a magical talking rock, what's inside the Mystery Box, falling in love, hitting yourself in the head, evil orange fungus, the Tree Pope, CRACKED, Picasso, and the meaning of life. It's kind of hard to describe, and the kind of story only Michael Swaim could tell.

"The book is heartbreaking, it's weird, and it's very, very funny." - Robert Brockway

Instant buy. I've been a fan of your fiction since I heard the crab story on one of the Tales from the Pits. Excited to see what you do with a full-length novel.

I am so happy to hear you're planning an audiobook version as well, I'm sure it's a huge amount of extra work but I appreciate the effort. I look forward to buying it as soon as it releases. Best of luck on the books sales in all it's forms.

Bought the book last night and am already over 50 pages in. Great work Michael!

I love this but just so you're prepared for future scrutiny a fully grown tree has a different network of roots the tap root is just there during the seedling stage. Haven't finished the book so maybe this is addressed already and if so apologies, mostly just here to flex my tree knowledge and say I'm excited to read this, the first two chapters you read were hard not to identify with entirely!

Just bought the book, I can't wait to read it! Also looking forward to the audio book version, hearing the sample read by you was delightful. Hope this thing sells well, Michael :)

Say, any news on when the audio version will come out? Or am I not listening to enough SB-podcasts to get the updates? 😅
