Our three co-hosts are stuck in the multiverse and need to get back to their home universe. Clearly, the only way to do that is to explore our cultural obsession with multiverses, alternate timelines and parallel worlds, and tie it all into a conversation about post-modern art, pop culture, and the lessons these stories teach us. Also, each episode, one of them is an asshole who will probably sabotage the whole thing.

This week we discuss 2009’s Star Trek.

The Orville actually does a really good episode about this. A crewmate gets stuck back in time and when they go to save him they overshoot by 10 years. Then have to decide if it is okay to go back further and erase his 10 years of happiness on earth by picking him up right away.

I think Michael has Tapestry wrong. The lesson isn't that he needs to improve his negotiation skills. It's almost the opposite of that. That brush with death taught Picard to seize every moment. Blue-shirt Picard is the play-it-safe Picard. By comparison, the Picard we know *is* rad Picard.
