Immortan Joe and his sons are all deformed. He's breathing through that mask because he needs it to live, it serves some sort of medical purpose. Great movie chat, guys! This is one of my favourite films, so I was pretty stoked to see this episode up on the feed. Also, I have a theory about the water source; it might be where the radiation is coming from that is mutating all the Warboys and Joe's family. After all, the original apocalypse in Mad Max 1 wasn't a nuclear war.

I had a thought on why she says remember me. When the War Boys die and they all believe they go to Valhalla and will be celebrated for their glorious death. When Furiosa kills Joe, in whatever afterlife he goes to, she wants him to remember that she was the one who put him there, that he died by her hands and that he should spend all of eternity in Valhalla (assuming he went to Valhalla) in despair because his property beat and killed him.
