As some of the concepts we at one time kicked around inevitably age to the point of being not a thing anymore, we here at the Small Beans Beanateria & Beanporium like to share our failed pitches and proposals with our BeanFriends, since one of the goals of this feed is to give you transparent access to our process.

So hey, here's a book pitch conceived and written in late 2015! It's a comedic physics textbook modeled after a military briefing. The pitch includes an explanation of our goals and layout of the entire tome (the first part), as well as a full sample chapter (the second part). Michael drew the illustrations and wrote the pitch itself as well as the sample chapter, while Griffin Rowell was the project's information/research lead. Luke McKinney was attached to co-write and was at all the meetings, but since we could never find a publisher, didn't really get to insert himself as much as we might have liked.

Honestly, it's quite good. Not sure why no one picked it up. So scroll around if you think looking at a polished book proposal sounds interesting, or just skip to the sample chapter and consider it a super-long bonus Cracked column from the ol' Swaimer.
