Seriously though, this was our first major collaboration with Some More News and Gamefully Unemployed and we hope you thought it was fun, because we did and will likely do similar things again in the future.

I finally finished watching your political livestream, and I just wanted to throw my two cents in about what Robert Evans was saying around the three-hour mark, about how everyone should have first aid training. I live in Canada, and for the past couple years, I've been volunteering with St John Ambulance. It's an organization that provides tons of first aid training, and has a cadre of volunteers with advanced first aid who can be requested by any group that is hosting a community event, like a barbecue, a sporting event, concerts, or even just a business conference. Because in Canada, basically everyone is covered by Good Samaritan laws, which says that someone who tries to help someone without expectation of compensation are not liable for damages. In one province, it's actually a legal requirement to stop and help people if you see someone in distress. The volunteers do training every week on treating different injuries and illnesses that we might encounter, as well as practice CPR. We recently had a presentation that showed an approximation of the monetary benefit of having volunteers covering events, which includes the reduced strain on paramedics, reduced number of people at clinics for less severe injuries, like sprains and scrapes, and us being able to keep people who are having severe medical issues in better shape for when paramedics are needed. The total just for our area was in the hundreds of thousands of (Canadian) dollars, so across the country it adds up into the lots of millions of dollars. Plus, y'know, saving lives and all that.
