It's a hard-boiled mobster noir bromance from the Coen Brothers! What's not to like? Abe Epperson and Michael Swaim drag you into the metaphorical woods to make you beg for your life, but in a good way, as they delve into the Coens' third masterpiece.

Art by Michael Vincent Bramley.

Great episode, but you guys forgot my favorite hat symbolism! In the final scene, where Leo confesses that he’s gonna marry Vera and Tom says he’s leaving, Leo is wearing a yarmulke, the hat of Vera’s tribe.

Also, not hat related, but when they bury Bernie, they’re not in a cemetery. They’re just in the middle of the woods. Like where you would bury, say, an animal.
