We're Considering Changing Goals. Thoughts? (Patreon)

Hey all! As our beloved Patrons, we would like to solicit your opinions on a big Small Beans decision we are on the precipice of making. We have our current goal tied to the production of a high-quality web series tentatively entitled Down Time, the details of which you may find familiar and can read about on the left rail of this page.

However, despite our initial thought that announcing something like Down Time would bring people into the community in droves, our patronage numbers have increased at roughly the same rate they always have, indicating that the seething demand for more shows of that type might be overstated.

So, if we wouldn't lose a big hunk of our support, we'd love to change that goal, and use the same budget on an even more ambitious NEW series full of new ideas and characters, but featuring as many of the creative team you've come to know and love as possible. So, the same people, but making something new, something we can all feel super-energized and passionate about launching, something as yet undetermined.

THE QUESTION IN QUESTION: When we hit our next goal and are ready to launch a new, ambitious, long-running web series, would you rather see that series be...

DOWN TIME? 

Or... 

SOMETHING NEW FROM THE SAME TEAM? 

The new thing could be a sitcom, talk show, ongoing serial dramedy...there's no way to know yet. All we know is we'd take the budget and meet and make each other laugh and see what show concept we all get unbearably excited about. The same way we developed Agents of Cracked, After Hours, Does Not Compute, et al.

This is basically us asking if you'd rather see us take a risk, or serve you something you know you're going to like. And frankly, it's your money, so you're now obliged to help us make weighty company decisions like this. 

In other words, if you don't respond to this poll, you're shirking your duties as a Bean. And no one likes a shirky bean! DO YOUR DAMN JOBS.
