New Year, New Format! (Patreon)

Hey all, sorry for the radio silence this past week! I've been working on reorganising some stuff, and also been spending time with friends and family. But that's not what you came here for, you came here for the good stuff! You may have been wondering why Monochromes have been coming later and later in the day compared to their usual time. Well, this is because I find it hard to motivate myself to work on something that purposefully strips down my workflow and is hard to maintain a consistent level of detail across. As such, I have come to an official conclusion!

From now on, Monochromes are being replaced with weekly YCH pieces!

Here's how they'll work! Each month I'll create a YCH template, and then each week of said month will be filled with pieces that use that template! These pieces will be flat shaded, with maybe a bit of gradient rendering, a much nicer middle ground between my WIP posts and my large-scale workflow. Trust me, it's a LOT easier to work up to a point in an already existing workflow than to frantically scramble to create a new one from scratch and remain consistent with it. If they're received well, I'll consider opening up polls to decide the characters that will be featured each week again.

I hope this will be a lot more fulfilling than the monochromes and really make the subscriptions worth the money! That being said, I am about to return to university for another 12 weeks and need to make some last minute preparations across this weekend. As such, the inaugral YCH post may take slightly longer to complete, though I plan to at the very least have it published by the time the next one comes around. We'll be back to a more streamlined schedule of work from now on compared to my brief explosion of commission work, so please look forward to your weekly updates in each tier!
