What are they about? Why are they important? What dangers are lurking in these tunnels, and what kind of lewdness might our hero find down there? All that and more in today's update. With pictures (full resolution below!)

Warning: While this is a simple sneak peek and, as such, should not classify as a spoiler, those who prefer to jump into the game blind should probably avert their eyes.

PS-10 was initially meant as a mining station, first and foremost. Carmine-colored Rubydite, which is mined there, serves numerous purposes, but most notably in manufacturing spaceship batteries. That makes it a vital (and costly) part of the galactic economy. If a diamond and lithium had a child, it would be Rubydite.

After the Union authorities were driven out many years ago, Ginny was the first one among the new bosses to begin pushing for a pragmatic stance: As long as Rubydite keeps flowing along with a nominal amount of "taxes" (to the pockets of corrupt Union governors on nearby Border Worlds), the Union won't really care about the wayward station.

She was mostly correct. If not for Rubydite, there would be no free PS-10.

Nowadays, the PS-10's mines are more or less open to local and off-station independent miners. Down there, one can end up being rich or dead equally fast. From the many risks of the job, warring groups of miners, to hostile aliens on the infamous level 15 (most notably the brutal Maulers), the last mine in civilized space is especially perilous.

But for someone like our brave MC, there are even more risks. The local miner crowd is a rough bunch. Those working the lowest levels often go days without release, and everyone knows what that does to a futa. A cute boy in the mines, all by himself? Who knows what kind of depravity could happen to him!

As if that wasn't enough, the rumors of "Feelers" (a semi-sentient, slime/tentacle alien) spreading from Level 15 to the rest of the mines are also more and more common. Many younger miners were found stripped naked, with their gaping holes plugged full of alien goo, unable to put together a sentence. Some were never found at all, taken away for breeding. And there are even whispers about a female-shaped, fully sentient "feeler queen"...

These dangerous grounds are managed by supervisor Pike, so let's meet her!

Pike is known for three things: her short stature, language too foul even for an outlaw space station, and nigh-supernatural skill at fixing broken tech. The green-eyed woman was once a very successful space salvager; nowadays, she is stuck on PS-10, trying to work off her numerous debts. With her expertise, she works for Hruv as a mine supervisor & head technician while running the only mech repair shop on the station. But don't be deceived by her blunt, expletive-rich facade; there might be more than meets the eye.

You will be able to explore all that (and more!) in PS-10's mines. The first day of your underground adventures will be coming with Release 2!

Also, if you are reading this, I have a question for you. Are you enjoying these kinds of posts? Or would you prefer shorter updates with less lore-related talk? Or something completely different? Please, let me know! Thanks!

I enjoy the lore posts, the setting actually having thought put into it is one of the things that makes the writing in this game so great. That being said, as long as you're consistently providing updates, I don't really care what they're about. In my opinion it is extremely important to provide *consistent* updates, doesn't matter what the time between them is or what they are as long as it's a consistent amount of time.

Hello There

I don't think I have ever had this level of anticipation for a VN like this before. Can't wait for release 2!
