Had this one in the chamber for a while now, so if you're wondering why now, I figured it was time to post it.

For a while I've been apprehensive about Patreon as a whole. The increasingly stringent rules and random enforcement of vague yet weirdly specific clauses on their TOS make me unsure about posting here to begin with, even if what I post here normally isn't very fringe. However what I might post on other platforms might give this place a reason to axe me. Especially seeing some of my artist peers having their accounts nuked with little to no warning for incredibly vague reasons, I'm not super thrilled to be posting here, with what I've put out elsewhere.

So, here's where my head is at; I'm probably going to make a full move to Subscribestar in the coming months. The plan was to wait to see how successful my other content was and allocate more time to it as it grew, but I'm beginning to think I should just go all-in.
It would make the discord integration a lot easier (roles have been a recurring issue since I made the change anyways, and this would clear a lot of headache there) and not having to worry about two separate audiences would be great. As much as I love doing this stuff, the logistics behind it was really annoying.

"What does this mean for your other, non-substar work?"
I'm not fully sure yet, but I can say with certainty I'm not tossing them. Characters like Bree and Emmett who are pretty patreon-friendly won't be discarded, or repurposed, I think they'll just be dropped into the pot with everything else on Subscribestar. How much time I dedicate to them will depend on where my audience goes and what really inspires me the most to make. I'll admit, I've had a lot more motivation to work on substar stuff because it's fun, and a lot of it is stuff I just don't see anywhere else. I'm happy to be making things I know fills a void for some people, including myself.

"Should I move my support to subscribestar now?"
I plan on starting to overlap posts on subscribestar in May, if nothing changes from here until then. Substar also uses subscription billing, so it'll bill you on the same day every month as when you first signed up -- no need to wait until the 1st unless it makes it easier for you to track.
It's also worth noting that the tiers are different on subscribestar; $3, $6, and $9 tiers only. I might make a $12 tier to maybe pad the loss that this integration might make.

Thanks for all the support, folks. I really appreciate it. Hopefully nothing disastrous happens in the next ~20 days. [Clueless]

I support you on both, so I'm down. I'll go for whatever your highest tier is since I've loved your art for so long and want to contribute as much as I can for you. Patreon is dogshit, and it sucks seeing people lose everything in the blink of an eye for no reason.

Yeah, my support ends here then. Subscribestar banned my card and their customer support is a joke. This is quite sad, but oh well. Hope the best for you.
