This reaction was the one I've been anticipating the most for the past two months since I found your reaction videos for Outlander and I'm not disappointed :') In the books Joe did know about Claire's time traveling to the past, which is why I find it sad that she doesn't tell him in the show. They're best friends, and if my best friend disappearing without a sound with no way to contact them I'd be worried they'd been kidnapped or murdered ngl.

I like that this episode was at Christmas, I love that time of year, I mean it's just me, but I still love putting up the tree and the decorations and trying to capture the spirit of Christmas. I would love to see you react to one of your favorite Christmas Movies and just hear your thoughts about it. I like the scene when Roger tells Claire about the article that had lines only Jamie could have quoted. You said "Is that enough to make you go back and jump through the stones, because it's enough for me." I love that you said that. That scene where Claire and Joe were examining those bones, he said her tibia bone was short relative to the femur and could determine her race. You said it was interesting, it's incredible how much you can tell about someone's life and how they lived just from their bones. There's a series I used to watch years ago that I loved called Bones. It stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, she's great in it, they both are. She plays an anthropologist who ends up working with the FBI and in the pilot episode there's a scene where she's looking at these bones and she can tell that the woman used to play tennis from an old injury she had to her shoulder. I like Claire and Joe together, he's a good friend to her, he's the only one she has that she can really talk to. She asks him "Am I attractive? Sexually?" He asks her "Is this about your man." She says "Have I changed terribly since I first met you." He tells her she has a great ass and says "He'll be in heaven when he sees you, lady Jane." She's worried she's changed, I know it's been 20 years but it's not about the way she looks, I mean she's beautiful, not as beautiful as you Imon. But it's not just about the way someone looks, people get older, their bodies change, we gain weight, we lose weight, there's days when we look good but feel like crap. And it's not about looking perfect all the time, you love a person for who they are, for the way they make you feel. It takes a lot to make a relationship work, more than most people are willing to give. It takes honesty, commitment, trust, knowing when to admit you're wrong, learning to let go, and to move forward, together. It's never easy, nothing worth having in this world is. At the end I couldn't wait for Jamie to see Claire, that scene when she hears his voice, god the look on her face. She hears him say "That you geordie?" And she says "It isn't geordie. It's me..." He feels like he's seen a ghost, I can't believe he fainted, I wanted to see him hold her in his arms and tell her how beautiful she is, how much he's missed her, and even though they spent years apart he loves her more now than he ever has. She's the only woman he's ever loved, she's the only woman he ever will love, it will always be her. In the video you were quoting something, you said Do not live half a life, half truths. I looked online and found a poem called Do not love half lovers. Written by Khalil Gibran. Do not love half lovers. Do not entertain half friends. Do not indulge in works of the half talented. Do not live half a life and do not die a half death. If you choose silence, then be silent. When you speak, do so until you are finished. Do not silence yourself to say something. And do not speak to be silent. If you accept, then express it bluntly. Do not mask it. If you refuse then be clear about it for an ambiguous refusal is but a weak acceptance. Do not accept half a solution. Do not believe half truths. Do not dream half a dream. Do not fantasize about half hopes. Half a drink will not quench your thirst. Half a meal will not satiate your hunger. Half the way will get you no where. Half an idea will bear you no results. Your other half is not the one you love. It is you in another time yet in the same space. It is you when you are not. Half a life is a life you didn't live. A word you have not said. A smile you postponed. A love you have not had. A friendship you did not know. To reach and not arrive. Work and not work. Attend only to be absent. What makes you a stranger to them closest to you and they strangers to you. The half is a mere moment of inability but you are able for you are not half a being. You are a whole that exists to live a life not half a life. I dont know if this is what you were talking about but it was a good read, It sounds like something you would write, very insightful. As always Imon, it's been a pleasure. <3

I loved this episode. So happy them at Claire is back in Scotland! I wonder why they decided not to tell him in the show. I’d be terrified too. Especially since it’s such a drastic change in her personality just leaving like that without a trace. Thank you for your support!

Christmas is just such a beautiful time. It always felt magical for me as a child. Like I felt anything was possible during that season :) I always appreciate your comments. Their so in depth and informative. It does warn my heart that you are listening to what I have to say and also have so much information in the show. I’m so happy you looked up the poem! That was the one I was talking about haha I wish I had the actual name at the time. But it’s awesome you found it. It’s a poem I really love and hope to memorize one day because it’s just a beautiful reminder of how life needs to be lived. Thank you as always for your kind words.

Hi Imon, Claire’s friendship with Joe is much more detailed in the book, but unfortunately with the TV show they had to condense the book into 13 episode seasons. In the books, Jamie is even more romantic.
