2023-08-12 03:17:58 I like at the start of the episode when Einar and Arnheid are talking about Mr. Sverkel helping him and Thorfinn. She says "It's because you are a good man. But it seems you aren't aware of that." Einar then turns red a little, he really likes her. That was a sweet moment, but then Arnheid gets hit by the woman she's enslaved to. She says to Arnheid "You're out here fooling around while breakfast isn't even ready? Must be nice to be you." Yeah I'm sure, why not switch places with her then, what a thing to say. I love the part when Thorfinn and Einar check on their crops, Thorfinn says "How intriguing. This turns into bread, huh?" Einar asks him "Are you in awe?" He then says "We'll grow them and sell them, and grow them and sell them, and buy back our freedom. No matter how many years it will take..." I love his determination, his drive, he has hope. Einar really made me laugh, I don't think I've ever seen anyone pray so hard in all my life. He tells Thorfinn to sit down and says "Whether it's a good or bad harvest is, for the most part, out of our control. We have no offerings to make. So we have to put our hearts into it." That scene with Sture and his sister Thora, the kids who stole some food. Their father left and now Sture has to provide for his family any way he can. I really like Pater, I like what he said "I suggest that we hire them and their mother to work as farmhands on this farm." He says that he will provide technical training to Sture. He says "There will be no need for him to steal anymore. It will solve the root of the problem." But then he said "With all that in mind, I believe flogging would suffice as punishment." The look on Ketil's face, he didn't want to hurt them, but he can't afford to look weak in front of his men. He has to walk a fine line. I love when Sture says "Hit me 20 times, please!" To spare his sister the pain. The way they hit him, they didn't have to hit him that hard, they didn't have to hit him at all. The way Ketil runs his farm, he owns slaves, and at the time it was normal, it doesn't make it right, it doesn't make the practice of owning another human being anything less than evil. But I like how he buys slaves and gives them the chance to earn their freedom. I know it's not perfect, he can't just buy all the slaves and set them free. But in buying them and giving them that chance to earn their freedom they will help make money, buy more slaves and give them a chance at freedom too. Again it's not perfect, but it's a chance to maybe be free again one day. I like when we first saw him on the farm and he would work the fields side by side with everyone, like Einar said, it's in those moments where everyone is equal. Later Ketil is talking to Arnheid, he tells her the whole Iron Fist story is a lie, that everyone expects him to be brave, as if it's a given. That must be nice, to be able to be your true self with someone, to confide in them. Arnheid then says "There should be nothing wrong with being kind." She tells him she understands his pain, he then says "You are the only one who says that to me. You are the only one whom I can be completely honest with. Stay by my side. Without you this world is all darkness." I like what you said at the end "The grass is not always greener, there's always something, everybody's yard has a problem, everybody's yard has an issue." I really do love how your mind works, the way you see things. You're beautiful Imon, always. <3
