This series is, like, it wants to be more realistic with physics, but it's not made with an understanding of advanced physics in mind. Like, the bag of waste Mark threw, the force that would've been required to launch it, would've torn the bag right away and made the contents just spill out all over the place. Lets say the bag is invincible. A single launch wouldn't make it travel across an ocean unless it got enough height to go into space, at which point it would've likely just orbited or left the atmosphere. As for wind resistance, with contents like meat juices and cardboard boxes and stuff, it wouldn't have much mass or density, so there's what's called a terminal velocity. Did you know that if you dropped a penny from a skyscraper and it fell and hit your head, you'd be perfectly fine, because due to wind resistance, it can only go so fast, and it doesn't have enough mass to do any real damage. That's why powerful bullets are larger, like a 50 cal bullet is a lot bigger and heavier, because it's not about how fast it moves when it's shot. When they were throwing catch with a baseball, there's no way the baseball could go through a mountain without being destroyed in the process. It would never have survived the throw. All of these and countless more examples of inconsistencies or physics errors in this season are very common, they're basic suspension of disbelief things that exist in most film and TV, obviously. It's just weird to me that a lot of people tend to describe this show as "oh, it's like superheroes, but what if it was actually really realistic to what they're powers would do in the real world." I don't think the physics in this show are more realistic or internally consistent than, say, any random superhero movie. It's just more violent, it just assumes more destruction from situations rather than assuming less.
