Such an amazing episode! We really get to see more of Korra's trauma and PTSD when battle-tested.

Korra is still dealing with her ptsd and is trying her best to find solutions without fighting. She also knows that the avatar state could accidentally kill without enough control and she probably felt as though she didnt have enough control at the time. Also lets remember villains are made through experience not born so somewhere behind Kuvira motivations is the trauma that pushed her to go this far

Korra vs Kuvira is one of my favorite fights in the Avatar series, you really see how meticulous Kuvira's fighting style is; she is literally the worst matchup for Korra especially in this disarrayed state that she's in.

Don't want to spoil anything, but yes. People laugh at Korra's losses, but from season 2 onwards, everytime she has lost a fight, she was handicapped in some way.

debatable.. since Korra simply only has power and no technique.. she is also easily outsmarted do to her headstrong nature. Its funny cause if you go back and really look at all the enemies she faced they're are the worst match ups for her to fight. They all excell on her weakest points which is why she struggles against all of them. Its kinda crazy how we're introduced to her super cocky nature at the start and the writer completely shatters that dream in a instant lmao

Korra Vs Zaheer before she was poisoned is here to set you straight. Woman held it down even when she was bound hand and foot. She might not be quite on the same level that Aang was, because Aang was a certified bending prodigy. But she's still one of the best benders we ever see in this series
