What's "funny" but really more sad is Dave Chappelle brought up a similar point in his stand up. He said of every African American registered for their gun license in this country at the same time...the gun laws would change immediately.

MojoJojoGojo

The one episode I didn't laugh at I just put my head down everytime the jokes were ruthless 😐😅

Well, there's Beatrice. Get used to seeing me comment more on these posts now. Everyone who's seen the series knows what's coming up. P. S. Gun laws will always be politically polarizing because the NRA funds a good portion of the Republican party and basically influences policies. Everyone knows we should have stricter access to guns. Everyone knows we don't need machine guns and AR-14 to be available to the public. Everyone knows we should have universal background checks to make it harder for sociopaths and psychopaths to get guns. Unfortunately, none of those things will happen as long as the NRA holds influence because if you put those policies in -- they lose money. It's fucked.

For me this episode (and many others) is uncomfortable but also kinda funny. Both in the legit “hahaha that was funny” kinda way and the “ooooo, I’m gonna nervously laugh now” kinda funny. This show is very good at doing this imo and it’s a big part of why it’s so damn good. I’ve rarely seen a show be able to mix genuine comedy with genuine tragedy so well.

Lee Osman

@3:18 yes yes yes preach

Lee Osman

Pretty sure that literally happened to the Black Panthers... After they open carried, Reagan repealed a law allowing for open carry

ReactorHero

i simply disagree with you respectfully. Gun laws are a polarizing issue because many ppl love guns and are law abiden citizens. it is not solely because the NRA controls the republican party. What actually is the problem as i have said before is Mental health. but no-one will listen, this argument will go on forever in circles. The media loves this btw., They feed on these events and division.

ReactorHero

many of you all really have a ONE-SIDED opinion on guns. Sad to see as i am a gun lover, but i still love yah. Team Imon and Abby

Just Alyx

It's a lot easier to regulate guns than to tackle mental health. First off, unless you acknowledge you yourself need help, it's a waste of time. Then after you start therapy, it takes YEARS of retraining your mind to better yourself and even then you have moments of regression. So it's more efficient to just make it harder to own a gun. These are facts.

Ale

I’m pretty sure this season came out 4 years ago. Same commentary still applies to now, which is sad

D

I think there is a very deep disconnect between the people who feel there should be no guns at all, those who own simply for protection, and those who are "gun lovers". I fall in the "own just for protection category" simply because of the shitty fact that EVERYONE else has one. Its a fearful reaction which, in my opinion, is not healthy. In a perfect world no one would need a gun, but alas thats not where we are and so the no guns at all people seem a bit tone deaf while at the same time calling people like me "defeatist" for choosing to own for protection. And then there are the "gun lovers" who I look at with a cocked eyebrow. I understand everyone has their hobbies but I fail to see what's so enthralling about the idea of toting around or owning weapons capable of mass killing, for fun. To me it's nothing more than a play to feel powerful and in control where they might be lacking those things in their own lives in some way. Maybe I'm overanalyzing though. I do always wonder what gun lovers would say about regular citizens being allowed to carry around or just keep for fun in their homes, live grenades.

Kaea Edwin

Idk if this is true but I’m pretty sure I read comment that was on bojack and it said that the actress who voices Princess Caroline hates doing those tongue twister lines but the writers and directors find it so funny so they kept putting it in her dialogue lines😂 it’s nice to see people in voice acting have fun and everyone else

ReactorHero

Do you know the process in getting a gun? we should speak facts.. ppl really believe you can simply walk in a gun store and get what ever you want. it does not work that way. ALSO, DO you know how easy it is for bad ppl to get guns. they will always have it because they break the law..lol. mental health is not simply just therapy bro. its more to it like working within your community to improve living conditions both economically and socially. Many of these mass shootings could have been stopped. How can you honestly say it is "easier" to regulate guns than to tackle mental health when we have been discussing gun issues for decades. Lmao it is definitely not easier because you have one side saying something and the other side saying the opposite. where there is common agreement is this mental health side. why cant we focus on that.

ReactorHero

your view on "gun lovers" is hilarious. i definitely think you are overanalyzing respectfully but you maybe right for some ppl. But isnt that the issue? not every one thinks like that. I especially do not..lol I am a gun lover. I collect guns for the fun of it. do i need a reason to make u feel better..lool no. It is already very difficult to obtain a gun. We have to understand that the sad thing about these random shootings is that it will always be extremely hard to stop. Pointing the finger at the gun ignores the REAL PROBLEM. Why did the person do it!

Just Alyx

Yeah, you don't know what you're talking about. You can't just say stuff and make it true. It is VERY easy to get a gun. You know how easy? I could walk to a Wal-Mart 10 minutes from my house and get a gun off the shelf. Like that. No license. No background check. No regulation. That goes for all types of guns. So I don't know what reality YOU live in, but I WISH it wasn't that easy. Second off -- again, even if you make the argument that "there's more to mental health like improving your community and living conditions" which is true, THAT TAKES TIME! Time and resources. Plus, a TON of money. We'd be better off just making laws. You somehow completely missed that point because you're not trying to understand me. You're stuck in your mindset and refuse to believe you're wrong because you fear losing your gun. No one wants YOUR gun. We just want to make guns harder for others to get. Anyways, I don't know why I responded to you. You're clearly not open-minded enough to see different perspectives which is sad. I've seen you all over the forum telling people that they're wrong on this issue and all of them have made great points. I guess it just amuses me to see pro-gun owners dig their holes. Lol. Well, hopefully, some knowledge will set you right. I doubt it though.

Just Alyx

That's what's terrifying. The fact that it's still relevant today.

ReactorHero

BRUH.. A simple google search will do u justice... YOU CANNOT GO INTO A WALMART STORE AND BUY A GUN WITHOUT A LICENSE OR BACKGROUND CHECK.. lol you literally made that up. that is impossible and against the law in many states. it is also against the Walmart policy which is on their website.. I mean, did you really believe i was gonna let that slide and say oh he is right, you can buy a gun with no id... lol jesus bruh.

ReactorHero

i see the problem here. You honestly believe it takes little to no effort for someone to get a gun in America. I am simply saying that is a horrible lie and its also why the debate goes in circles. why cant ppl just speak facts and less on emotion. the fact that you can really say no id is needed to buy a gun in walmart BLOWS MY mind..lol if your side was soooo right in this debate, why come up with such a ridiculous lie? I stated early in my statement that i RESPECTFULLY disagree. now you are saying i am not openminded... is it because i do not agree with u?

ReactorHero

btw i have no hate for u brodie. just simply disagree. this does not mean im not open minded though. good day

Just Alyx

Because it's not a lie... You do know there are stores and privately-owned businesses that don't follow state policy, right? The Wal Mart from my house is no exception. Yes, in a PERFECT WORLD, you wouldn't be able to get a gun unless you were 18 years old, ID, and background check. But you and I both know there are plenty of stores that do not follow that. As long as you have the money? You get the gun. You're not stupid. You know that's true. Why would I make that up to be right in a non-consequential debate such as this? If anything, I could have easily not responded and let you have your opinion. How many teenager shooters have you seen at these schools and events? Come on now. And no, you're not open-minded. You did not once ask me why I thought or felt this way. You did not once consider the fact that "hmmm, maybe there are stores out there that sell guns under the table," and nothing happens to them. You have your own reality of how the world works, and you stubbornly stick to it. That's the problem. So I'll tell you what. I apologize for continuing this conversation. It ends now. You won't get a response following this. Good day.

ReactorHero

lol why are you so triggered. well it was nice typing with you. Again, we agree Gun deaths are bad.. We just have different ways in dealing with it. Also, I see alot of "stories" how about actual data. also Facts dont care about your feelings bro.

Jay rellim

@reactorhero if youre replying to lee, it is true and the NRA even supported the stricter gun law at that time lol https://www.history.com/news/black-panthers-gun-control-nra-support-mulford-act

Yeah, Season 4 came out in Sept 2017. That's why there are Trump references.

As a Canadian i've always found the gun culture in America interesting. Other then on Police i've literally never even seen a gun. And I honestly don't think i've ever met anyone who's owned a gun. That's not to say we have no gun violence at all and quite a few Canadians do own hunting rifles but as far as hand guns or assault rifles that shit just isn't a concern. For the life of me I can't fathom a situation that would warrant a civilian owning an assault rifle. Hand guns I can understand for personal protection for yourself and family so I'm not against the idea of owning a gun but you guys have just taken it to the extreme. Fun little fact, in Canada it's even illegal to own Pepper Spray because it's considered a prohibited weapon.

I had a teacher in College that came from the U.K. and his first day at the job he was scared and went back to his car when he saw armed security outside. Its just normal to us.

Another mass shooting / suicide last night in Indianapolis at a FedEx facility. Reasons still unknown but its a probelm that is truely ingrained in our American society. Thoughts and Prayers.

Dominic

Well this is relevant (once again), after yet another mass shooting in Indianapolis. It's just exhausting...

Three shootings yesterday. One in Austin, one in Kenosha, and one in Shreveport. Honestly it's sad how many episodes of this show are timeless. Shows often face a dilemma of being dated if they reference pop culture or politics od the time, but it feels like issues like these are stagnant.

Please stop with this stuff. You’ve done it twice now. Here and more recently. I’m writing you here in the hopes they won’t see this comment. You little comments aren’t cute. Let them watch without interference.

I love that you can appreciate this kind of humor. Not all women can ☺️
