fun fact: conny’s joke in the beginning of the ep is actually something else entirely in japanese. he says “eren no ie ga...” (“eren’s house is”) and then screams “eren no.......IE GAAAAAA”— because “ie ga” is pronounced just like “yaeger,” so conny’s basically also screaming eren’s name as a terrible pun. since that’s all A Lot to put into subtitles, the translation they chose was a pun on houses falling = eaves dropping instead.
