Premiere Pro Timeline Breakdown (Patreon)
Content
It may seem intimidating at first, but if you're starting out or want to try editing on your own, just remember that I also begin with a blank canvas. Then, gradually, you want to add more and more.
Video Layers usually consist of:
1. The Main Video
2. B Rolls/Extra Footage/Overlays
3. Color Grading Adjustment Layers
4. Motion Adjustment Layers (Zoom ins/Zoom Outs)
5. Transition Layers (Film Burn/Glitch Transitions)
6. Subtitles
7. Crop Bars
Audio Layers usually consist of:
1. Audio from the Video
2. Narration
3. Sound Design (ambient sounds eg., traffic, wind etc)
4. Transition Sounds (whooshes, pops, clicks)
It's like lego, starts with the smallest pieces, the more you play with it, the bigger the whole project gets. :)
