I really enjoyed this episode tremendously, they have such fun sibling like energy and IU seemed more at ease, she talked so freely it was great to see. I like her even tho I haven't heard a lot of her songs. I've seen her mv's Bbibbi, Blueming, and Above the Time which that song actually made me cry her voice was so pretty.

I would love to see you react to her concert, I'm sure it's amazing! I know Jungkook was there since he's a big fan of hers from way back. I love the energy she and Suga have, they make me giggle so much with their banter. Freaking Cancun for Jelly Roll?!! Bro, that is so dope. You deserve the opportunities coming your way, you are NOT an impostor! Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter, like the great Dr Seuss said. 💜 Lastly, whiskey.

John, I’m so happy for the opportunities you’re being blessed with. Also, thank you for sharing your experiences. Don’t go negative, continue your positivity! You’re doing excellent! Onward.

I love Suga and IU's chemistry, you can tell they are such good friends - and they have real sibling energy at times like when Suga was teasing her about not being invited to the concert lol. I would love to watch an IU concert with you! That clip of her singing gave me chills for real - her voice is incredible! I really need to listen to more of her music. Also re IU's not crying on stage, I think maybe it's partly what you said but also I think it might be down to personality, although she and Suga get on so well I get the feeling they are quite different - from what I've seen IU is very precise and a planner and gets caught up in details whereas although Suga also works incredibly hard and is very focused I think he is in his feels more - he just doesn't show it on the outside very much - so when he does let it all out it's overwhelming. Edit (whiskey 😅) I definitely don't think what you are doing is bad or vain or anything like that - I totally get what you mean as I am like this too - I am not very good at talking about the things I have done that I am good at or things I am proud of myself for because it always feels like bragging or showing off. I have never felt this way about the things you have done- I think it's AMAZING that you are making your dreams come true and getting to do the things you've always wanted to do, you are always so down to earth about it all and it feels so great to be able to expereience these things through you - I was watching your Hong Kong Travel vlog yesterday and I said to my husband how amazing that I get to see these things through you a person I know when I doubt I'd get to see these things otherwise - so long ramble but keep it up dude if it makes you happy it's fun for me too!

With the very strict social hierarchical system, a female solo artist, started at age of 14 (international age) as a trainee, IU had really fought through her career so hard. Everyone's her senior and even she'd been through so much people still see her as a baby which is what she meant by her experiences (the level of respect she received) & age not feel like in sync. People feel natural for male artists to change genre/image as they grow up, but for females people just want them to maintain an innocent, cute & young image FOREVER. Add to this, the struggle of being an actress also because singers who also into acting are usually not see as being serious/professional. Then she's making music too which again is a field very male dormant. She had faced so much hardship i.e. family financial difficulty, lost 3 close friends all to suicide all in entertainment industry, unnecessary hatred from antis, etc... just non-stopped yet she still smiling... She really deserves the world and all respect/love. it's sometimes hard to see her smile/laugh because again "the people smile the most are hiding more struggles". Suga's actually the same, he always finds it hard to express his feeling yet it doesn't mean he had a smooth life. I feel like it's imprinted into IU to just obey, endure, hold the tears & just smile when she's the "little girl" among everyone.

I would love to watch the concert the golden hour with you, also I recommend you her documentary Pieces, to understand more about her, I have them both if you need a link. For shorter videos about her maybe in youtube: IU - A Documentary Film by the channel IANNE. I hope you continue your IU reactions, it'll be great to watch the concert and the documentary with you, and if you need a link, tell me and I send it to you.

This was such an enjoyable episode. Their vibe together is so relaxed, how amazing would it be if they ever hosted a show together!? I think that Yoongi was referring to the fact that IU didn't invite him to guest sing 'Eight' at her concert seeing as he talked to her about that before (not just invited to watch) I would love for them to collab again, fingers crossed!
