What an amazing experience, I cant tell you enough how much i loved this, crowd was amazing, all the reimagined songs were perfect! I loved this!

OMG!! You posted this at the perfect time for me. I was just wondering what to watch before going to bed. Can't wait to see your reaction :)! Yes, that's Gakushi. He played piano for the Renegades Studio Performance and for the Online Concert in 2020. He also performed with them recently for their Luxury Disease Japan Tour in 2023. Yes, it was during covid. The crowd wasn't allowed to talk/cheer, so they reacted mostly by clapping. THIS SONG (Karasu) IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE OOR SONGS! It is a B-side on a single from 2007 so it isn't as famous. It isn't on any streaming plattform either :(. The lyrics are beautiful, I recommend you to look them up. The original is a lot more fast-paced btw :D. He says it's weird to talk when the crowd can't answer (that's as much as I understand). They did two performances per day for 4 days (that's why it's called "Day to Night" a day performance earlier in the day and one in the evening). They talk about how they feel exhausted after the first performance, but feel energiezed as soon as they are on stage again. I had to repeat Deeper Deeper like 5 times when I watched this concert for the first time because I was so impressed/shocked by this version. Ryota also never fails to amaze me with how many instruments he can play. After Heartache he askes if this was the first One Ok Rock concert for some and said this isn't how they usually sound. He also talks about how they did 5 songs for the 5 rurouni kenshin live action movies (the beginning, heartache, mighty long fall, renegades and broken heart of gold). This version of Mighty Long Fall is stunning as well. This Song "First Love" is a cover by a female singer. Before the song the other members were teasing Taka about being afraid to sing this song (Taka hates rehearsing and they said he rehearsed this song A LOT). I'm so impressed by all these versions of these songs they did in this concert. Can't wait to hear you sing. Thank you for sharing this with us :).

Next one could be the 2016 Nagisaen???😁 These acoustic concerts were held for two performances a day so seven performances over four days (one performance on the first day) which were held under strict Corona measures. At that time, musicians and music fans all over Japan were not able to genuinely enjoy music, and everyone was very stressed. That's why the concerts were organised in this way. Thanks for the upload! Your disembodied voice was pretty hilarious too 🤣 To add onto the other comments: - throughout the concert taka was asking the audience to sing along in their hearts and asking them to stay safe - Ryota talked about how taka kept asking him to learn upright bass, and he finally learned deeper deeper for this concert. Taka was teasing him asking if he'll learn 2 songs by age 40 - taka was nervous about singing the First Love cover. He said he was regretting the choice and got teased about how much he was practicing compared to their own songs. I'd suggest 2016 Nagisaen for the next concert as well! It'll be a contrast to this one in terms of crowd size and activity. I adore this concert for its setlist, and it also has a great acoustic interlude!

Thank you for your reaction to this acoustic session. I think it is truly amazing that a rock band could perform different genres like the Deeper Deeper jazz version so beautifully. Taka had asked Ryota to play the wood bass before the concert and Ryota responded beautifully. He has asked Ryota and Tomoya to play other instruments like the piano for performances and sometime without much time to practice but they come through for him.

Oops, I had not finished when I posted my comments. Anyway, Taka added the two women for the chorus because normally he does the chorus because the other members can not sing that high. It was a last minute decision that he said was his selfish wish and they really added to the performance.

Oh, I did it again. Anyway, He sang First Love by Utada Hikaru because he thought it would be great to do a song by a female artist. After he said that, he said it was really difficult and kind of regretted it but I believe he sang it in the same key as Utada. He did a beautiful job.

Awesome reaction!! My jaw dropped the first time I heard this version of Mighty Long Fall, I didn’t recognize it either at first but it’s absolutely beautiful. They crushed it! I also love Broken Heart of Gold, this concert is special because it’s the only time they’ve performed it live (at least recorded) so far. I agree about the lyrics, they’re dark and so meaningful. I would join in on the “please do Nagisaen 2016 next!” but honestly I really think you should do Luxury Disease 2023 first so you’ve watched it and heard those songs before your concert in Japan. 💙
