This just gave me a new perspective on Taylor Swift!

🐘 So many things to say!! First, fun fact- her song about Rebecca Harkness and Holiday House is her Rhode Island house and my family has vacationed in the next town over since I was 5. I've got pictures of her gates LOL. Secondly, this was filmed not far from my home which I loved. But this album is a heartbreaker for sure. She and Jack have been writing together for some time now, his band Bleachers is def worthy of a listen in my opinion (he was also in Fun.) And then Aaron Dessner is part of the magical experience that is The National, they are incredible musicians all around. Lastly, the William Bowery/Joe reference is her then- boyfriend Joe Alwyn, who is an English actor and they were together for years, including during the pandemic. I can wait for you to see some of her big time live performances for the sheer showmanship (show-womanship?) side of her!

Thank you so much for doing this!! it's not that obvious. and thank you for appreciating and respecting Taylor. that's the most important. we all have favorites and less favorites songs but thank you for respecting her because a lot of people discard her as non talented. I do wonder if I should've sent you the album instead cause it has fuller production than this movie which is a more acoustic versions of the songs. anyways, thank you and I already have an idea what to send you next month. thinking of editing performances from all of her tours so you'll see how she is live.

Definitely see Taylor in a whole new light! She relatable with her story telling. As she matures her wisdom is shining through!! I recommended you checking out Adam Lambert s Feel Something. New on patreon. Wasn't sure where to ask....

Loving your TS journey! I am on Mad Woman and wanted to mention something I think that, as an artist yourself, you will understand. While she has not confirmed this theory, I firmly believe that this is about the men involved with the selling of her masters and not being given the opportunity to own her life’s work up to Reputation. She has been very vocal about how it unfolded and why she chose to re-record the albums. They tried to gaslight her publicly and she had none of it. Same with My Tears Ricochet and the line, “when you can’t sleep at night you hear my stolen lullabies”. I love it when she alludes to this in songs, not just these two. Thanks for being so invested and thoughtful!

Elephant. Glad to see you were filled in about her really owning the Harkness Newport “cottage” (= amazing mansion, the Cliff Walk there is one robber baron gorgeous summer palace after another. I recommend you do a little reading about Rebekah Harkness on line, in the modern world I think she and Taylor would be friends. Both misunderstood women held to ridiculous standards imposed by so called “society” but strong with minds of their own. Because of the times she lived in Rebekah never had a public forum where she could address ugly whispers and tell her own story and that eventually broke her spirit. I love that Taylor has her house, is living out loud and telling Rebekah’s story. Can’t think of a more perfect person to make Holiday House live again. Interesting side note, for awhile until the second Kayne related Taylor shaming bulls**t she was famous for the 4th of July parties she held there. At one of those parties Taylor introduced her long time dear friend Ed Sheeran to the woman who would become his wife. During the very hard times they had when she was very ill, Taylor was living in London with Joe (despite her wish when writing Invisible String he wasn’t the one, boy did he blow it), she was incredibly supportive of Ed and his wife and Ed credits her with being the support that allowed him to keep strong for his wife (who beat her illness) and child. So much about Taylor tells you who she really is if, unlike tabloids & haters, you pay attention. Her devotion and generosity to her fans, her team (from musicians to truck drivers) is unparalleled. I think the amount she gave in bonuses to every single employee on the first part of The Eras tour ($55,000,000) is exceeded only by the percentage of his points in the box office that Keanu Reeves gave to everyone involved in the first three Matrix movies. When it comes to being a good human being Keanu level is pretty good. Then there is the money she donates to local charities and food banks at every single tour stop (not new with Eras). She doesn’t publicize this and isn’t looking for gold stars, word eventually gets out. Finally there is the very tight core group of friends that are the closest to her. The support they give her and she gives them is very real and is what real friendship is supposed to be. Some are famous, some she’s known since childhood & others have worked with her for years (dancers, back up singers and musicians she see’s and treats as friends not employees). To excellent examples are her long time and very close relationships with Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds, Miles Teller and his Keleigh and Jack Antonoff & his wife Margaret Qualley (Taylor was at their wedding last year and was a cheerleader for the relationship). Ryan Reynolds has quietly cameoed in several of Taylor’s videos and Blake directed the video for I’ll Bet You Think About Me (a fabulous video for a vault track from Red Taylor’s Version). Miles Teller stars in the video & Keleigh plays the bride who receives the infamous red scarf gift (if you know, you know). Also near the end of this video when the curtain drops and the band appears is you look closely you’ll see Aaron Dressler on guitar. He also played with her during her SNL performances for midnights. The fact that all of her tightest group have shown up and one or more Chiefs games shows that Travis has the inner circle’s stamp of approval and they are very protective after Joe. I highly recommend the short film for All to Well if you want to see Taylor’s work as a director, appreciate an amazing 10 minute song and hear what it sounds like when she’s writing about an ex who did gaslight 20 year old Taylor (spoiler, it’s about Jake Gyllenhaal as is I’ll Bet You Think About Me and a lot of Red).

Elephant little late but still enjoyed watching it. Just got got done watching the Era tour of hers that’s on Disney +.

Reputation live concert is broken down by song on you tube where she belts out notes more. try ready for it, I did something bad, and don't blame me

I’m not sure if you caught it but Cardigan, August and Betty is three perspectives of one love triangle (that’s why you could also see the lyric parallels)… Cardigan is Betty’s perceptive years after the story, August is from the pov of the “other girl” and Betty is James’s pov… I think you’re ready for the Eras tour!!! Maybe then you can decide which eras you like and take from there to do songs or album reactions! I commented the same thing on your Taylor tiny desk video, but you could totally do one era per time on YT a little bit (edited), but you could do the whole thing here - and don’t worry that it’s too long, we’re here for it🤍 Also, elephant

The eras tour is a must just because it does have her in a concert setting, also belting sometimes and it will let you experience pieces of all her albums in one concert. It’s just such a good concert, a masterpiece. Also good concert to show newbies!

I saw your youtube reaction and i never joined a patreon so fast. This was a beautiful reaction. Folklore is definetly one of her more laidback albums but it showcases the stories so amazingly. Definetly my favourite album when i want to chill out or feel my emotions. You should definetly do the eras tour! Reputation tour is great but since it focuses on one album i feel like that is better after eras if you are new to taylor. Eras shows all her range from poppy to synthy to laidback. And it is 3,5 hours of magic honestly. Also since u describe yourself as a metalhead i would also react to: We are never getting back together from the 1989 tour. (Its on youtube) since she does a rock twist tp that song there. Anyways amazing, can’t wait to check out more from you and ohh… elephant 🐘😉

Elephant!:) Would LOVE if you went down the Taylor Swift rabbit hole! She always says that she’s a lyricist first and a performer second. She is SO talented and a lot of people say she will be remembered at the same level as the Beatles. I would recommend watching “Miss Americana” a documentary about how she got where she is now. Also PLEASE watch the Eras tour! It is BREATHTAKING!! Just came to patreon for Taylor🫶🏼💞✨

ELEPHANT! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I wish she did this for all of her albums. If you want to see her in a concert setting, then watch The Eras tour. She doesn't do the albums in order, but she does reference each album and you'll get a sense of each album and then you can decide which to do next. It really would be best to do full album reactions because each album really is its own animal, if you will. For your YouTube audience, you can always post each song individually. Sure, there are going to be some albums you may not vibe with. The beauty of Taylor's versatility is that she really does have something for everyone. Important note: be sure to do the Taylor's Version of the albums (for albums through Reputation (well, when that one comes out)). That way you get all the deluxe and vault tracks.

Mad woman isn’t about a guy she dated it’s about the guy who bought her masters and he and his wife attacked Taylor I’m the media for her being upset that he bought them and she wasn’t given the opportunity to. He was already notorious for cyberbullying Taylor before he even bought her masters.

After watching your reaction to Eras Tour, I had to come watch your viewing of the Long Pond sessions. It's such an intimate setting for such a unique album. Love Folklore...and your reaction to it.

This was a beautiful reaction video, and I've also watched your excellent Eras Tour video. I wonder if you should do something next that explains the situation with her master recordings? Many of her songs allude to that -- it seems like they are about relationships, but they are actually about losing her music. And it's why she is re-recording her albums (called "Taylor's Version"). Since you are a musician yourself, I feel like you would have a lot to say about her legal situation with her old label.
