Schachenmayr is the name of the yarn company. It does no longer exist, but the brand name is still used. Their sock yarn is Regia, so it's Schachenmayr Regia.

My friend and I love this yarn as well, knitting is such a pleasure and the socks feel just wonderful. But what a surprise we got after wearing the socks! The yak does not just pill a bit, it comes out in chunks and just sticks to the socks. You could remove it, I suppose, but at this point I leave it on. Its a bit like felt. I am not sure if that can be avoided, but it puts a little dent in my excitement over the yarn. Just a little. :)
