Good morning everyone!

Its time for a closer look at this lovely yarn. Its Knit Picks Stroll Tweed and Kay has been experimenting with a range of their skeins that she purchased earlier this month.

Join her as she:

  • Shows you four different colourways
  • Shows you a project she has been knitting up and lets you take a closer look at the fabric this yarn creates
  • Talks you through all she loves and all she doesn't
  • Gives her final thoughts on this yarn and if she would knit with it again

Thank you so much for watching, we'll see you next week for a brand new 'Quest for the Perfect Cuppa' & 'Journey to the centre of the Yoke'.

Have a great day,

Dan & Kay

Love your pattern, it's perfect for a man's sock. And I really enjoyed this yarn review. Regarding the tweedy bits falling off, I agree that is odd. I have knitted with various Rowan tweeds as well as Jamieson's spindrift and I have never experienced the colored speckles falling off of the yarn. Those are more expensive yarns, and I wonder if there is something about the manufacturing of the Stroll Tweed that is producing that result....

Great review Kay. I appreciate hearing about different brands of yarn. As for the tweedy bits, I have run into the same problem with King Cole Aran Fashion yarn It's 75% acrylic and 25% wool with little tweedy bits in the yarn. They too are barely clinging on to the yarn. I'm afraid after the first wash, my sweater may be tweedless! :)
