Good morning everyone!

Last month we published a review of Grundl Hot Sox which you can watch again here https://www.patreon.com/posts/quest-for-sock-20126830

Now, not everything went as planned after the review so we are back with a further report. Join Kay as she:

  • Shows you the strangest thing that happened when she continued knitting
  • Checks her gauge and tries to deduce what went wrong
  • Gives her further thoughts on the yarn
  • Discusses what to do to correct the problem

Once Kay recasts these on, we'll be back to let you know how things progress.

Thank you so much for watching and we'll see on Thursday for a brand new two part mini series. We hope you have a wonderful week and we'll see you on Friday for Episode 108!!!

Thank you so much for this review, Kay! I found it REALLY helpful. I recently tried a new sock yarn, Oink Targhee sock, and was really perplexed when it knitted up super loose and stretchy even though I was getting gauge. I unraveled once and changed from a size large sock to a size small but in the end my socks grew more after washing and they are loose on my foot. I have two more skeins of the yarn I bought at a trunk show and wasn't sure of how to knit it into better socks next time. It sounds like I just need to go down a few needle sizes as well as maybe knit a size small sock with a sock yarn that ends up stretchy and with a loose fabric?

What a shame but interesting. Love the colours on it.
