I am REALLY enjoying this series, Dan, and hearing your thoughts! Garment knitting can be so exciting and opens up so many doors. One lace project I really enjoyed knitting recently was Tatsu--no boring in-between rows. It is knitted flat but could easily be converted to knitting in the round.

Your double knit scarf is what I think of as "Heirloom Knitting". Those really special exquisite knits that merit the time invested because they will be gorgeous and last forever to be treasured.
