Rip lancer. Dude deserved better. And it sucks that he died thinking that Saber was in on the betrayal. Also, not sure what your guys’ schedule is, but episode 18/19 is a 2 parter and I really recommend watching them back-to-back if possible.

This episode always makes me question what Kiritsugu might think of things like the Geneva Conventions. That is what he and Saber are talking about here after all (in an abstract, if not actual way), should war have laws to minimize the suffering and collateral, making it a lesser evil. Or is that just a illusion and if war is needed to be done it should just be an anything goes massacre. I think I personally come down on Sabers side of this, war is hell, but without the rules it would be so much worse.
