Those are photos of the actual sheets of paper that I used to draw that commission. 

The Xs are there just to indicate full black areas. There was no need to paint with actual ink, since it was way easier and quicker to do that on the digital version.

The second image (detail) shows the sketching blue traces below the ink. When scanning in black and white as I did back then, there was no need either to erase the blue sketching lines, since the blue color wasn't detected by the scanner. That saved some time, too. 

Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture or scanned any of the blue sketches. 😬

Hope this explanation of my 2017 creative process was interesting to read 🙂
