BIG NEWS!

We're completely revamping our merch store and bringing production 100% in-house! That means more items for sale, lower prices, better quality, more variety, and even customization will soon be available. Instead of just T-Shirts and hoodies, I'm planning on selling barware, coasters, glasses, bottle openers and more! Stay tuned, as I'm hoping to launch the new store by the end of the month.

Why the change? - My current merch partner got me up and running, but to be completely honest, I didn't have much control over sourcing of products, and quality wasn't where I wanted it to be for merch with my name on it. So I'll be personally sourcing, designing, producing and shipping merch in house.

When? - The new store will go live on May 1st. Shipping to the Lower-48 should be VERY affordable, and I'm currently exploring options to reduce the cost of international shipping.

What else? - Proceeds from Merch will actually have a much larger purpose, as 100% of revenue is going into Craft Studios 3.0! I'm currently in the planning stages to add 1000-1800 Sqft onto my property to serve as Craft Computing's permeant home. Space has become a major hinderance as the channel has grown, especially now that I have an assistant in studio 4-days per week. Projects have gotten larger and more complex, and working on multiple projects at a time is nearly impossible, as my workbench is also my shooting space is also my live streaming space is also my office space is also my editing space. Being able to have multiple projects in progress at the same time is going to massively increase the number of videos I can produce per month. And having dedicated workshop, filming and office spaces will mean there's no need to clear an area multiple times per day just to change tasks.

The main building is going to be ~975 Sqft. The downstairs will be a workshop and shooting space, while the upstairs will have Office/Editing space for two people, as well as a dedicated set for Live Streaming or Talking Head pieces. This building is being priced right around $30,000, and I'm getting late into planning stages. But there is a stretch goal to this as well.

For an additional $30,000, I can build an additional ~1,050 sqft above my garage. This area will only be accessible through the out-building, and can serve as additional shooting space, with multiple sets, or additional workspace.

Part of bringing merch in house means I'm going to need a space to store, produce and ship items. I've been hesitant to become a logistics company since the inception of Craft Computing, but The Producer (aka: my wife) has stepped up to tackle this endeavor. This again means more control over the end products, and higher profitability as everything remains 100% in house with no additional contract workers.

There will be more news to follow on how those who enjoy Craft Computing can help out, but the Merch Store is what I'm most excited about. It's another way to directly support Craft Computing, plus you'll wind up with some pretty awesome barware and apparel to boot.

As always, if you have any questions, my DMs are open on the Discord. Cheers everyone!

The Producer?! I don't know how to tell you this, but I think she's going to take funding money for your production, over-promise a return to all the investors, hope for a flop, and pocket the sponsorship money.
