Development update #5 (About v0.2 and kinda v0.12) (Patreon)

Hello people,

Behold my long ramble because I'm chatty.

So 0.12 has been out for a bit, and I hope everyone had a chance to play it. (And liked it too hopefully.)

Anyway, about v0.2. I'm hard at work on it, but I want to make it a longer than normal update because it will be a public update. I've decided that the way that it'll go is Professor tier guys will get it once it's done. Then a week later, the students will get the update, and a week after that, I'll release it publicly and go into "Yo pls play my porn game" mode and do a bunch of cringy advertising kinda stuff. Fun times. 

I've said before that I hate stating release dates, and I still do, but my estimate would be late September to maybe early October for v0.2. This update is a big one for me because it marks the start of the the content for the rest of the characters, and I'm really looking forward to getting started on some of the stuff I have planned for all the characters really.

One other thing about the v0.2 update... This is the point where I have to make a concrete decision about whether the game will be a branching linear story, or whether it'll be a sandbox. I originally planned and promised a sandbox, and I'd still like to include some elements from that type of game. However, considering this is my first attempt at making a VN, and using Ren'Py in general, I've decided the game will be a branching story instead.
There may be sections in the future where you have to navigate a map and all that kinda stuff, but I think those will be for specific sections of the game. I apologise if this disappoints any of you, I just want to make sure I don't overpromise and underdeliver. With what I have planned, having to do some morning/day/night "Go to X location at X time" kinda system would seriously slow things down. (And probably make the game way more prone to bugs tbh)

Basically, if you're reading this and you were supporting based on the idea that the game would become a full sandbox, I will understand if you unsub now. If you're still interested, or even more interested after this news, that's fantastic. Thank you.

I don't have much else to say about the update, but since I'm a curious person...

Based on what you've seen so far, I've made a character poll. It may affect which of the girls main stories gets started first, but only if it's between a few specific girls. I guess only Cassie and Riley have really been featured at the moment, so pick whoever you are most interested in future content for. Multiple choice if you like more than one.
