2023-03-25 06:55:47 Hi, this question is for Alyssa, in a previous Q&A you mention you are were a Star Trek fan. I'm curious if you still keep up with Trek, still revisit old shows or watch any of the new series' that are out, or if that was more of a flash in the pan fixation that you've sort of moved on from. I know for me I can sometimes hyperfixate on a thing and lose interest and never come back, whereas for others they become a lifelong interest. Star Trek is definitely one of the latter for me.

I just watched Lupin III: Mystery of Mamo, mind blown, looked up Sōji Yoshikawa, realized he worked on the finale of Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, mind blown again. This makes me want to revisit the whole Kirby anime and I was curious if y’all have thoughts or feelings on it.

When you guys moved to your new place, how did you safely move all your media/books? I recently had to dig out a slipcased LoTR + Hobbit book set that was buried deep underneath a pile of books in a big moving box and had become pretty warped. Thankfully, because there was one book missing from the set, the gap in the slipcase allowed it to warp to take the brunt of the weight, so the books were fine. Only mildly unfortunate that I can't fit all the books back in the slipcase. Have you experienced books or other media getting warped/deformed after being moved/stored under heavy weight? Any tips on preventing this?

Hi Hazel and Alyssa! Do either of you have any thoughts on the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise?

Anonymous

Hey so just got done binging through all of Hazel’s videos and enjoyed every second of it. Crunchyroll just premiered a show called Tomo-chan Is a Girl, which is about a tomboy who’s friend/crush acts as if she is a guy. People often misidentify Tomo as a boy at first as well because of the way she acts/sounds. However my trans-girl brain decided to rewrite it that she is a trans girl because I related to some of the scenarios a lot and just am starved for representation. My question is have either of you ever reinterpreted something to force representation into something?
