Here's the full length reaction to The Green Mile! I think... I think this is truly the most I've ever cried in a movie (and I've cried A LOT in some of the movies I've reacted to so far). What an absolutely heartbreaking movie with such powerful performances by the cast.

This is one of those movies I watch every reaction to, because it’s the only one that seems to guarantee tears. Oscar-nominated and still underappreciated in its time. The book is much more Old Testament in its vibe. Very “Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord.” Stephen King is clearly horrified by capital punishment, and feels it’s an inhumane practice. On the other hand, Coffey does use Percy as a divine instrument to take vengeance on Wharton - and on Percy himself. It’s pretty layered. King writes a lot of different stuff. You should check out Stand By Me, another great example of his non-horror output. It’s a beautiful movie about friendship, coming of age, and death, although not in the same way The Green Mile is.

Hi Addie. Ray here. Im finally back again.. And let me explain a few things About this movie. ----------------------------------------- 1: Michael Clark Duncan (Aka, John) got recommanded by non other then Bruce Willis. To Frank Darrabont, To play John Coffey. 2: When John said "Careful" "Careful" he said that directly to Paul.. cos John knew in a way.. who was coming in. 3: When Del got Exccuted. John took most of his pain, thats why he was shaking so much.. Cos he knew Percy was put on the spot. And.. Del was Excecuted because he was Gay.. 4: When John Saved Melinda from her Tumor, He did not spit out the flies then and there, like he always does.. so he could give those to Percy.. so he would kill Wild Bill.. and messes his head up in the same time (two birds with one stone, in fact) 5: I belief, Mr Jingles Died at the end of the movie.. thats why Paul said. If he can let a mouse live so long, how much longer do i have. ❤❤❤ Ray. P.S i hope this helps you a bit.

And believe it or not, but one Shaquille O'Neal was actually originally considered to play John. He certainly looked the part, but I doubt he had the acting chops to really make John work the way MCD did. And, yes, Mr. Jingles does apparently die at the end of the book, though it's not made as clear in the film.
