In her book on the making of The African Queen, Katherine Hepburn states that when she got sick, being a Urologist's daughter and keenly aware of the benefits of water & staying well-hydrated, she drank lots & lots of bottled water. Which was later found to be polluted. Sometimes, you just can't win!

Wait, is that kid Shelly Winter's son or nephew? And if he's the nephew, does that make him John Huston's son? Wow!

Just to prove there is a bad movie for everything, 'Ring of Steel' the story of a down on his luck fencer who becomes a star in the world of underground fencing fight clubs. As for dysentery 'The Dead' (2010) a zombie movie made by British twins in Africa probably had the worst record of that, as well as many other disasters. The sequel shot in India was just as bad, at one point the men of the village they were shooting in asked if they could stop filming as they wanted to rape the lead actress because she was an actress. They moved on and hired her a personal bodyguard. The making of those films is much more interesting than the films themselves.

Michael Palin was told that story by Angelica Huston who was taking her fathers advice while in Tunis at the same time the Pythons were making 'Life of Brian' (I don't know what she was filming) apparently they got through a lot of Bol's Geneva. As for Hepburn Plain also wrote in his diaries that when in New York for the Broadway run of 'Python' he rented the house next door to her, after about a week he was with his sons and encounters her, completely overawed he said hello and introduced his children, only for her to reply "Oh we've already met." she'd been letting the kids use her pool all week.
