I think 'Piercing' has a good mix, the poster has art work, a minimalist post modern style, photos of the stars and basically look like they should be selling a rom com. Except there is a drawing of an ice pick that points at Mia Wasikowska.

Taglines should never be larger than the title. Can’t wait to see which side of the Arkinsaw-Arkansas Divide that Robin falls on.

Oh, so many Massachusetts horror posters out there. From both "The Mummy's Ghost" and "Tomb" (classic examples of their day) to "Elvira Mistress of the Dark" (awful) and "ParaNorman" (okay), we have films placed in MA towns as fictional as anything Lovecraft created. But for a GREAT Massachusetts poster, I have to go to Amity Island for one of the very best: "Jaws." I sadly can't think of another Montana-set horror film, but director David Lynch was born there, and his "Eraserhead" has an iconic poster of its own. As for a gawdawful poster, like Vampire Academy, "Soul Survivors" is about as vapid in originality of concept and appeal as they come, as well as having the double-tap of being set in Massachusetts

Posters like Vampire Academy say, loud and clear "we hold the audience in contempt and are doing the bare minimum." The creators clearly expected that its teen audience would simply watch this on Netflix or Amazon Prime and barely bothered to print a poster at all, let alone one that might generate interest.

Must agree. They've blown the money on the SFX and big bang trailers, which basically tell you everything in the movie so there's nothing left for the poster.

Really bad posters? I'd vote for the photoshopped James Bond posters from Brosnans day. Awful stuff. Also, anything for the 'young Adult' demographic as pushed by Disney etal. Remember those for a large St. Bernard called 'Beethoven'? Or the 'Mighty Duck' franchise? Ugh.

Agree totally with Robin's comments on The Colour Out of Space poster. If ever there was a poster design that really sold the title, this is it.
