Robin talks about another 'might have been but now won't be' review; Spellcaster!

I think this one was that period when Empire were going bust and throwing together films to push product out to try and balance the books rather than putting any effort in. Some Empire/Full Moon films are good and only let down by a low budget. Although others are like this.

This "anti-review" is just as interesting (and funny) as any review. Robin is so genuinely invested in presenting something with value that, in explaining why he doesn't feel he CAN create something he feels is worthwhile, he STILL creates something worth our while!

👆 what he said plus I hope Robin appreciates the irony of this anti-review being longer than an average actual review. And I had to look it up but I was reminded of the movie Bodycount (1986) when you described the characters and some of the plot. It just seemed like a bunch of cliches wandering around until they got killed.

Have you seen Adam Ant's comic vampire film "Love Bites" circa 1993? It's available to rent on Amazon streaming. I saw it a very long time ago and, as I remember, it was quite daft, but enjoyable.

In many ways, this is just as good as your "actual" reviews.

agreed. it's like watching a bad film and then immediately griping with your best mate about how bad it was. I enjoy talking about bad movies and bad movies provide a kind of material that normal, 'good' movies don't.
