Robin looks like Joan Crawford did in her 1950's movies. Did he smear vaseline on the lens?

Bad movies are a spectrum all their own. Every time I think I’ve seen the worst thing ever I see something that is as bad or worse in a completely different way than the preceding thing. King of The Monsters, for example, is basically just that dream Homer Simpson had about that invention that would make him rich; every time something interesting is about to happen something or someone interrupts or obscures it. I forget where I was going with this but I never miss a chance to rag on KoTM. Seriously, someone needs to kick everyone at Legendary in the head for the quality of movie they achieved with so much money. The use of the Oxygen Destroyer in particular irked me. In the original its a horrifying one-use doomsday weapon, in KoTM its just a thing they remember they have and which basically does nothing and you don’t see the effects or consequences of it. And there’s no Twin Fairies or analogs to them, whats with that? You have Mothra, you have the fairies right? They dont even need to be proper fairies either, just have some Japanese twins who are mentally connected somehow to Mothra. There, I just gave your movie a plot device, maybe even a whole separate movie. Also I don’t want to demean a man I have no prior experience of, but why does Charles Dance get work when Donald Sutherland is still alive? Novel over.

I saw this movie around 1997 and thought it was one of the worst, most incomprehensible things I had ever seen. I think I can still say that.
