Not one I was massively looking forward to but it turned out alright as a review. I usually read up about a film on IMDB before watching and it's always interesting to check out other people's reviews. There are always people who like the films and always people who hate them, which is why the ratings are so utterly useless, but what I liked with this was the number of people saying how much less sleazy it was than Jess Franco's usual films. Faceless is still a pretty sleazy film, but yeah, when you compare it to the rest of Franco's output it might seem less gratuitous than usual. It has Caroline Munro, which is always a recommendation, though she's not got much to do in this. More interestingly it is another version of Eyes Without A Face, and there are several clear references to that classic. Not sure the title will sell this one but I quite like the review and the film feels like something different, which is always what we're looking for.

Jess Franco's filmography is an encyclopedia of sleaze, no doubt. But I will always honour his DRACULA. It has Klaus Kinski (Renfield) and Herbert Lom (Dr. van Helsing) in it - and of course Christopher Lee in his best performance of the main role, by my humble opinion. Regarding the structure and its all over atmosphere, this admittedly cheap, sometimes cringy and slightly abrigded film would deserve the title 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' by far more than Coppola's.
