Brando stories are a favorite Hollywood side thing of mine. I’d tell a different tale if I had to actually work with him but, being an outsider, I can sort of respect his whole “living legend who knows he won’t ever be fired so he does exactly as he pleases” persona.

If they ever make a doc about how that 1996 version of The Haunting of Hill House came to be, I'd watch it.

Stephen Crane

I wonder if the documentary has the real reason for resentment towards Marlon Brando, that he was paid twice. Because he portrayed both Dr. Moreau and the Island.

It's nice that "Colour out of Space" was well-received by horror fans, good to see Mr Stanley make more films (I liked 'Dust Devil', indie but fun)

I really enjoyed this doc. I had seen Hardware and enjoyed it quite a bit, but always wondered why this obviously-talented guy just dropped off the face of the Earth after getting fired from Moreau. I am certain that Stanley has his issues, but there's no denying his talent. Kilmer, on the other hand, is a narcissistic nut. The recent profile of him in the NY Times bears that out. I feel bad for the health issues he continues to deal with, but the guy is a douche. Colour Out of Space is a fantastic and visually-stunning adaptation of the source material. It was a pleasure to see Stanley working again.
