Stephen Crane

You highlight why, outside of Christopher Reeves portrayal, Superman has never appealed to me. He was always too powerful and there was rarely any real danger in his stories.

We talk about this in the upcoming detractors commentary.

Starman is what I’d call “delightfully OP” and I enjoy his movies very much for that and their child-like (as opposed to childish) simplicity. Not to mention surreal moments.

Superman had problems with Kryptonite, and could not see through lead. My biggest question about Superman was always how did Ma Kent make his costume? It's bullet proof and just about everything else proof, so how did she cut & sew it? But back to Argoman, which seems almost as lame as both Captain America TV pilots! Or Maserati and the Brain, although at least there is no annoying child....

Chris Hewson

I think Fenomenal is another really bad masked supercriminal movie, although its problem is more that its cripplingly boring, and the hero takes for*ever* to show up, then consistently doesn't appear enough, and even doesn't take part in the majority of the climax!

Why does the elevator robot have a heart beat and why does it do the whole 'Darth Vader breathing' thing? They should have stuck with Diabolic...

I just saw a Korean film called "0.0MHZ" on Shudder. It may just be a good ghost chiller, but there might be a brilliant element that's well hidden. Have you seen this film or could you check it out maybe as a Lockdown suggestion?

Back when literally any moderately handsome guy who didn't walk into too many walls could be a superhero. What gets me about these films is the the evil women are so stylish and have their plans in hand, and the supposed hero is a feckless schlub who can't be bothered to do some situps or stand up straight.

This is off topic, but ... Robin just got your book the other day ( took Amazon 28 days to get it here). I'm guessing you explained somethings in the first book, but I'm going to ask you any way. Is Universal a worldwide organization , or the UK only, or just select countries?

darkcorners

I don't explain much about Universal. I prefer to remain mysterious, and reveal more slowly as the series continues.

I'm sitting here wondering where this film has been for all of my adult life. This looks like a hoot. Definitely going to seek it out.
