A very clear result for Val Lewton and the RKO horrors, which is great because it gives me an excuse to watch some films I haven't seen, but also daunting because I've got to fold 11 films and a man I don't know a huge amount about into a clear narrative. I suspect this will end up being a two-parter given the amount of ground to cover, I also suspect that we may end up using a similar trick to our Murnau special, in which we used Nosferatu as a way to look at the less well-known films - in this case we would use Cat People and hopefully that name will help us sell the special. Hopefully this will be one where we can really get into the aesthetics, but we've also got to put it into context of the budget - Lewton proves that low budgets don't hold back the creative mind.
Should be good.
