I'm Not Working On: Superchick (Patreon)

I seem to be on a bad run at the moment. This was another big disappointment, because the descriptions suggested a different type of movie; one of the 'martial arts girls crush drug dealers' sub-genre. It turned out to be a woman who sleeps with lots of men, with a drug sub-plot several miles in the background that leads to a brief, half-hearted fight scene. All the more disappointing because I had some good jokes when the heroine uses Christopher Reeves' phone booth at the start and the doctor she sleeps with saying 'I'll think of you during surgery'. Great stuff. Plus a bizarre cameo from John Carradine as a pervy actor ('I acted mostly in low budget horror films'). About 20% more action scenes and this would have made the cut.
