Between putting time in commentaries and putting time in the specials, I'd pick the specials. They're focused, informative, entertaining, and shareable. That said, the idea of a community movie experience sounds like fun and a (hopefully) less labor intensive project. God knows how you'd compromise on the time difference, but I think it's worth exploring.

I like the Netflix idea though my schedule would mean I would almost never get to join. How about reviews which focus on a common theme between two movies?
